Furn Object returns to New York's Collectible Scene with Salon Art + Design Showcase
Anna and Sergii Baierzdorf returned to New York’s design scene with a showcase of their brand, Furn Object, at Salon Art + Design.
Renowned for bringing together the world’s leading galleries and exceptional collectible works, the latest edition of Salon Art + Design took place in Manhattan from November 7 to 11, 2024.
Anna and Sergii joined Dzherelo, a curated exhibition by Antwerp-based Victoria Yakusha Gallery, highlighting Ukrainian designers shaping the contemporary collectible landscape.
As part of this exclusive collaboration commissioned by the gallery, the design duo presented two collections — Bryla and Lucky Akebia.
Lucky Akebia, a collection of artisanal glass lighting pieces, made its debut at Collectible in Brussels in March 2024. Described by AD Germany as "reminiscent of a blossom opening that heralds the arrival of spring," the collection captures nature’s delicate poetry — evoking the fleeting beauty of blooming flowers, preserved in glass to never wilt.
Unveiled for the first time at Salon Art + Design, Bryla is a sculptural cabinet at the intersection of art and function. Inspired by organic structures and the concept of equilibrium, it merges liquid metal and glass into a composition of shifting contrasts. The piece garnered international attention, earning a spot in Design Milk’s Top 5 selection.
Salon Art + Design has long been a platform for boundary-pushing collectible design, bridging historical heritage with avant-garde expression. The participation of Sergii and Anna Baierzdorf underscores their growing presence in the global design dialogue, having first introduced their distinctive design language to New York's collectible scene back in early 2023.
Continuing to explore the interplay between art and functionality, the duo remains dedicated to crafting objects that evoke emotion — balancing strength and resilience of nature with its softness and joy.
